I am such a dork

So right now I'm riding the bus to school.

And being the dork I am, I noted that as I'm going there are wireless networks. I assumed that since I was around a bunch of houses these were home networks. There are an awful lot of the damn things! Since I've got my new iBook 14" with 802.11g I've noted a lot more networks. (My old iBook only had 802.11b.)

So I'm sitting on the bus watching networks come an go as we drive by them, and I'm madly attempting to get online with one of them. I'm thinking hell, this will be a crapshoot, I'm moving and most of the networks are secured somehow. I'm stupid enough to think that I'll get lucky on some random network while I'm rolling along at 20 mph.

It worked.
