Fable
A Tale of a Kitten
“Your paper is due in two weeks”, the adult cat said
The kittens listening intently all started planning
Then they did what they needed to
So their friends would not declare them dead
All the little kittens listened, but one
Boots, the procrastinator they called him
He decided he could wait to start
The night before the paper was due
And on that night he ate a very good stew
Then he sat down to write that paper
Diligently he started writing it
And in a minute it seemed it was time for bed
So he went, then got up early
To finish that paper
But when it was time for school
It was not done and so he turned it in a day late
All the other kittens laughed at him
And his teacher gave him a big nasty grin
When he got that low, low, so very low D
