Questions to be raised to Dr. Irvine

p. 123 Wouldn't this cause an underground training movement and false records? (Re: trucker's logs)

p. 164-165 What about half-truths? i.e. “There are bad people that might hurt you on the street?”

p. 168 Hollywood Hayes code moved more and more risqué - it got pushed and gamed by the artists

p. 168 - Ratings are voluntary information services. R rating is w/o a parent must be 17. w/ a parent any age, the theatre in question is being more stringent.

p. 182 What about availability of 50's type houses - have builders been pushing toward larger houses thus people being forced to buy larger houses. (i.e. Soda distribution) What about school district considerations when choosing a house? Why use hourly average rather than median?

p. 193 - Is self-defense violent?

p. 226 - Pregnancy. What mother who doesn't want to steward and abuses herself doing take care of baby? She is choosing not to be a steward?

p. 235 - The teen who divorced his mother/parents? (Michigan?)

p. 239 - Why the difference between animals and plants?

p. 301-302 - What about situations where people realize they cannot due something due to lack of resources or lack of people who will be able to help out. (Re: Normal Heart, The Old Flame”

p. 314 - Re: Divorce - what about the situation where parents are fighting and place children in the middle of the situation?

p. 316 - Last sentence of first paragraph. While I realize the logic of the statement the “for something” is well… male-centric.

p. 317 - Watch out. There is research underway to create embryos and thus babies that are derived from two sperm or two eggs. Obviously the baby would have to be carried in a woman still.

p. 323 - Man/Woman terminology although you've previously established a nurturer/encourager difference - it is entirely possible for both partners in a heterosexual married couple to be nurturers, or to both be encouragers. Ergo, why not use the nurture/encourager terminology vs. the Man/Woman terminology

p. 330-331 - An argument for gay marriage? (I think we already answered this during lunch, but its on my notes.)

Notes: 8.8, 9.7 A Joke?

Things to follow up on my own:

Rise of individualism's relationship to gay rights
