It even <a href=\"http:\/\/seattletimes.nwsource.com\/html\/localnews\/2003480653_notprint16.html?syndication=rss\">took out the newspapers<\/a> for the first time in over fifty years.  It&#8217;s also made <a href=\"http:\/\/www.weather.com\/multimedia\/videoplayer.html?clip=4801&#038;collection=videocoll26&#038;from=vid_brws2&#038;tab=3&#038;nav=141\">Landings a bit fun for planes<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/seattletimes.nwsource.com\/html\/localnews\/2003481738_mercer17m.html?syndication=rss\">island that I live on<\/a> was hit particularly hard.  We were without power for about 58 hours, on my end of the island.  I got really good at keeping the fire going and I knocked out a book or two.
